Understanding The Types of EV Charging Stations

Our team installs Level 1 and Level 2 chargers for residential applications and Level 3 for commercial applications.

LEVEL 1 CHARGING
This charging solution plugs directly into your 110 outlet. While this may be quick and easy to do, charging at these speeds can take more than 50 hours for a full charge.
Typically 2-5 miles added per hour

LEVEL 2 CHARGING
This charging solution is by the far the most popular installation. Within as little as 4 hours, your car can be fully charged and ready to go! This charging option typically provides the best experience for those with a busy lifestyle.
Typically 20 to 44 miles added per hour

Level 1 and Level 2 Charging: This is done by what we traditionally call a "charger". It is more appropriately called a connector or wall connector. Its function is to send AC power to the onboard charger. The onboard charger then converts it to DC power which is then sent to the battery.

LEVEL 3 CHARGING
This charging solution is typically used in the commercial or industrial space. Often, you can find these chargers in convenient locations such as: Restaurants, Parks, Malls and at Business Parks.
Typically fully charges vehicle in less than 1 hour

Level 3 Charging: Often called "supercharging", this is accomplished by sending DC power directly to the vehicle, thus allowing the power to by-pass the onboard charger and go directly to the battery. Very few houses can support this type of charging.

ChargeCO Sells and installs EV Charging stations for ALL EVs. The standard J1772 that universally works for all EV’s (all teslas come with an adapter to use this standard) and also the Tesla wall connector. Tesla also makes a "j1772" charger and this is a great option if you have a Tesla and another brand EV. By using a tesla branded charger for both, you will be able to have a power sharing charger network. Other brands also offer this feature.
